Fujitsu and Sun Microsystems Boost SPARC Enterprise Servers With New SPARC64 Processors

The faster SPARC64 VII processors deliver up to 25 percent better performance than the previous generation, and with new memory access enhancements, the updated SPARC Enterprise systems have delivered outstanding performance on key enterprise benchmarks. These results further prove the updated SPARC Enterprise servers with the Solaris™ Operating System (OS) are ideal platforms for consolidation and mission-critical enterprise applications including large-scale databases, BIDW, ERP and human capital management (HCM). Fujitsu Enhances ETERNUS DX60/DX80 Connectivity and Performance

Sunnyvale, CA, October 12, 2009 – Fujitsu today offers enterprises in North America greater flexibility in selecting the most suitable connectivity of entry-level disk storage systems to server hosts. ESI Uses Fujitsu Automated Process Discovery and Visualization Service to Streamline Core Business Processes

Sunnyvale, CA, October 5, 2009 – Fujitsu today announced in North America that Electro Scientific Industries, Inc. (ESI) (NASDAQ: ESIO), a leading provider of world-class photonic and laser systems for microengineering applications, has used the Fujitsu Automated Process Discovery and Visualization service (APD) to streamline ESI's opportunity-to-order process with the goal of reducing on-hand inventory. Using the service, ESI successfully and cost-effectively gained new and detailed insight into existing processes and inefficiencies and identified opportunities to increase inquiry-to-order conversion rates. Of the 22 process improvement initiatives identified, 77 percent were a direct result of the Fujitsu APD exercise.

Fujitsu and Citrix Forge Desktop Virtualization Partnership

Sunnyvale, CA, July 9, 2009 – Fujitsu and Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS) today announced an OEM agreement that expands the relationship between the two companies to help customers reduce the cost and complexity of implementing a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for enterprise customers. Under terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will expand its portfolio of virtual workplace infrastructure solutions, a key part of its vision of providing customers with Dynamic Infrastructures. Fujitsu will integrate Citrix® XenDesktop™ with "high definition" HDX™ technology into its virtual workplace solutions, giving customers a rich, personalized virtual desktop experience for end users in any location. Fujitsu also announced plans to add Citrix® XenServer™ virtualization to its PRIMERGY rack and blade server offerings. This will add an extra benefit, especially to customers already working with Citrix® XenApp™.

Fujitsu Inks Long-Term IT Infrastructure Services Agreement With Alliance Data

Sunnyvale, CA, June 25, 2009 – Fujitsu America today announced it has entered into a long-term outsourcing agreement with Alliance Data, a leading provider of loyalty and marketing solutions derived from transaction-rich data. Under terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will assume the Alliance Data Information Technology Services (ITS) function, which services Alliance Data business units, as well as five other existing clients. In addition, Fujitsu will manage the existing Tier 3 datacenter, assets and personnel, and estimates the combined initial annual value to Fujitsu to be greater than $40 million, which immediately and significantly expands the infrastructure services capabilities of Fujitsu America.
