Fujitsu's Softek Announces Oracle Database Compatibility For Open Systems Storage Management Solution

Sunnyvale, CA, September 30, 2003 – Softek™, a leading provider of storage management software and member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, today announced that its Softek TDMF, Open Systems Edition data migration and replication software has successfully completed validation testing for synchronous and asynchronous data replication of Oracle® Database environments under the Oracle Storage Compatibility Program (OSCP). Fujitsu Develops High-Speed Multichannel Optical Switch Based on MEMS Mirrors

Richardson, TX, September 29, 2003 – Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. today announced the development of an 80-channel optical communications switch that adopts MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical System) mirrors (see figure 1). The new MEMS device, which integrates electrical circuitry and mechanical structures, achieves a switching speed of one millisecond, the fastest of any multi-channel optical switch to date.  The new switch is expected to enable the development of Dynamic OADMs essential for next-generation optical transmission networks.

Sunnyvale, CA, September 24, 2003 – Marvell® (NASDAQ: MRVL), a technology leader in the development of extreme broadband communications and storage solutions, today announced that it has sampled the world's first single chip system on chip (SOC) device that supports the Serial ATA II feature set and both 3.0Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s operation to Fujitsu for use in its 2.5" hard disk drives (HDDs).  The newly introduced 88i6535 Serial ATA SOC enables lower cost and higher performance storage for a variety of applications including blade servers, consumer and mobile applications such as laptop computers, portable music players, personal video recorders, set top boxes, car navigation systems and digital still/video cameras.
