Fujitsu Announces Record Hard Disk Drive Sales And Market Growth

San Jose, CA, October 29, 2003 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), one of the world's leading suppliers of hard disk drives and computer peripherals, today announced unprecedented enterprise and mobile market growth demonstrating its strength and leadership in the hard disk drive industry. Fujitsu increased worldwide enterprise hard disk drive shipments to over 1.2M units, a 78% increase over the previous quarter 2Q03 (CY) and a 47% increase compared to the same quarter last year. Fujitsu also announced worldwide record shipment growth in the mobile hard disk drive market increasing drive shipments to 2.0M units, a 19% increase over the previous quarter 2Q03 (CY). That percentage represents a 90% increase in the number of units shipped compared to the same quarter last year.
