OnBase provides social service agencies many ways to become more efficient. The Intake process is just one of those areas
which OnBase and Fujitsu have teamed up to provide a better, quicker and less costly means to capture client information and
critical documents.
To appreciate how much the process is improved, a brief description of an existing manual process would be beneficial. The
client comes into an agency with specific documents that must be maintained by the Social Service agency to prove that the
client is eligible for the programs. These documents include ID cards, Drivers License, Insurance, Medicaid or Medicare cards.
It is important to keep in mind that these cards are needed for every member of the family. What an intake worker must do
in a manual process is get up from their desk and go to the copy machine and copy both sides of each card. Even with a scanning
solution in place where these pages can then be scanned, the need to shred the paper copies in a secure manner is costly.
Using Fujitsu scanners as part of the intake solution, cards are scanned and do not need to copied saving time, saving paper
and eliminating the need to shred the copied documents. and
