Danier Leather receives “present” from Fujitsu’s ValueCENTER gift-card management system
Toronto-based Danier Leather Inc. is one of the largest publicly traded speciality leather apparel retailers in the world. They have designed and manufactured leather and suede products since 1972.
During the past quarter century, Danier has made a positive impact among consumers as a provider of fashionable, yet affordable, leather products.
As with most retailers, Danier Leather’s former gift certificate program only involved the use of paper gift certificates. The tedious, manual system made it difficult for the leather apparel retailer to keep track of certificate inventory in each of its 91 stores across Canada. It was hard to efficiently develop and analyze any promotional campaigns around the program.
As the company expanded, executive management realized the need for technology that would not only automate its gift card system, but all store functions including point-of-sale (POS), back office management and customer relationship management (CRM). Therefore, it needed a single retail technology vendor that could provide a “one-stop-shop” for its hardware, software and services needs.
After a thorough search of retail technology vendors, Danier Leather turned to Fujitsu America and its Pervasive Retailing approach.
