Fujitsu Introduces MedClick Platform at HIMSS18

Fujitsu to add FDA-cleared, enterprise-level platform for patient engagement, expanding its offerings within the healthcare marketplace

Fujitsu America, Inc. today announces the MedClick™ Platform, a cloud-based offering that improves engagement between healthcare providers and patients. The FDA-cleared MedClick Platform features a number of benefits to assist hospitals and other medical institutions deliver care in a way that is intuitive and stress-free for patients and time-saving for the institutions themselves. The new offering will be on display at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Conference (HIMSS18) taking place March 5-9 in Las Vegas.

Below are some of the key benefits of MedClick Platform:

  • Improves medication adherence and manages chronic conditions by enriching the relationship between the care team and the patient via its enterprise-level, mobile communication platform.
  • Digitally connects healthcare providers with patients and provides support when the patients are outside of the medical facility.
  • Streamlines workflows and improves care team communication and collaboration with the patient by offering personalized, two-way interactive, secure messaging and real-time remote medication monitoring.
  • Enhances the human connection of the care team, which is essential for quality patient-centered care.

In addition to connecting the care team to patients, the MedClick application is secured by Biometrics-as-a-Service™ (BIOaaS™) platform from Fujitsu, which provides multi-modal biometrics for patient identity verification without requiring passwords.

Built to address a multi-billion dollar market and serve hundreds of millions of users, the ultimate goals of the solution are to:

  • Increase patient education, address chronic conditions, improve medication adherence, reduce patient administration hurdles, and
  • Increase staff productivity by allowing the medical team to remotely monitor and support patients outside the walls of the physician office, pharmacy, or hospital.

The MedClick architecture is designed to work on smartphones and tablets. MedClick includes Secure DirectClick solution which is an encrypted platform for real-time multi-channel communications and data capture. Secure DirectClick is an ideal way to allow patients or caregivers to instantly call their healthcare providers from any device connected to the Internet from anywhere in the world.

MedClick includes an interactive permission-based care team portal for remote monitoring, secure messaging, surveys, and educational videos. The portal can be integrated within other third-party servers and the MedClick server can be hosted in the cloud or on a healthcare provider’s premises.
