Fujitsu Innovates TP8 Point-of-Sale Platform to Enable a Connected Retail Environment

Fujitsu America Inc.

Sunnyvale, CA, January 08, 2018

Fujitsu America, Inc. today announces the updated Fujitsu TP8™ family of All-In-One (AIO) and modular retail point-of-sale (POS) systems that leverage the latest Intel® technology to offer retailers first-class performance and seamless serviceability for high uptime and rapid processing. The refreshed, sleek TP8 AIO POS terminal and compact TP8 Modular Box POS system share key components for flexible deployment and reduced support costs to retailers, resulting in increased return on investment (ROI). A next generation POS solution, the TP8 family is aesthetically designed to easily blend with a full range of retail segments including specialty, mass merchants, department stores, drug stores, DIY and grocery. The TP8 family, along with the full line of industry-leading retail and security solutions from Fujitsu, will be featured in the Fujitsu Booth #3907 at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Big Show in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Center from January 14-16. For more information on Fujitsu’s presence at NRF, please visit: http://connectedretail.us.fujitsu.com/nrf-2018

“Fujitsu’s POS solutions are the foundation of our 50-year heritage serving over 500 global retailers in 52 countries and have enabled us to solidly support our customers’ business needs in a space as dynamic as retail,” said Ray Caul, head of the Retail business at Fujitsu America, Inc. “Our updated Fujitsu TP8 retail engine product line-up showcases constant innovation of our technological products and services that offer retailers the superior performance, flexibility, serviceability and design they need to better serve customers and increase their overall bottom-line.”

Increased Overall Performance
The new Fujitsu TP8 AIO POS terminal and TP8 Modular Box POS system are designed to offer retailers the latest performance with Intel® 6th and 7th Generation Processors by providing sales associates with boosted uptime and swift processing. The latest generation M.2 PCle storage provides up to 30+ percent higher performance over comparable systems.

Reduced Support Costs
Fujitsu TP8 AIO and modular box POS systems support 15 and 18.5” rugged, high brightness projected capacitive LCD monitors; the ability to switch from 15 to 18.5” LCDs provides excellent flexibility for front-end and customer-facing applications. The TP8 family’s design enables displays to be exchanged quickly for easy, fast field repairs and provides superior upgradability by simplifying migration to future modules and technology, reducing total support costs and protecting the original investment. A single platform that supports multiple in-store touchpoints, reducing installation and service costs and providing fast, easy customer transactions, the TP8 family provides the ultimate retail shopping experience.

Pricing and availability
The updated Fujitsu TP8 AIO and modular retail POS systems are now available to order in North America. Pricing varies according to model, configuration and country.
