Melanie Wright

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Fujitsu Network Communications, Melanie Wright is responsible for litigation and dispute resolution, policies, business strategies, commercial transactions (including negotiating and drafting documents with national and international customers and suppliers), and import/export activities. Hired on as a one-person legal team with Fujitsu in January 1992, Melanie now heads up the Fujitsu legal department, as well as the contracts and import/export departments.

Before joining Fujitsu, Melanie worked for Greyhound Lines, Inc. as Associate General Counsel and for The Southland Corporation, where she served on the Corporate Counsel team.

Melanie is an active member of various professional organizations including the Texas Bar, American Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, American Corporate Counsel Association, and the Association for Conflict Resolution.

Melanie earned both her Juris Doctorate and bachelor’s degrees at Southern Methodist University. She also holds a master’s degree in education and literature from the University of Houston and obtained a certification in Dispute Resolution from SMU.
