Hirofumi Shimmura

Senior Vice President and CFO

As Senior Vice President and CFO at Fujitsu Network Communications, Hirofumi Shimmura oversees the daily functions and operations of the company’s accounting and finance department, capital investment, asset transactions, and budgeting processes.

Mr. Shimmura has over 30 years of finance experience. After graduating from KOBE University with a Bachelor of Business, he joined Fujitsu as a member of the accounting staff in the network product division in 1979. Since then, he has held a number of positions with increasing responsibility. As manager of the accounting department in the business management division of the software service business group, he was responsible for cost accounting and expense control. In 1995, he was promoted to vice president in accounting/finance in the Fujitsu (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a Fujitsu subsidiary, where he managed day-to-day financial, accounting matters including the Asian monetary crisis in addition to managing the corporate budget.

Prior to accepting the CFO position at FNC, Mr. Shimmura was general manager in the products business development and management unit responsible for accounting and financial control of all business units in the Product Business Group.
