The Marketing and Business Innovation Group provides relevant insights on technology markets and emerging technology trends in order to support Fujitsu product design & development, explore business opportunities for technologies developed by Fujitsu Labs, and support Fujitsu business development and alliances with 3rd-parties.
Research Themes
1. Mobile Research
Focus on U.S. mobile markets and emerging technologies, including mobile services, mobile devices, and mobile applications; evaluation & prototyping of mobile applications; establishing and supporting Fujitsu partnerships with 3rd-party mobile solutions vendors.
2. IT Solutions and Service Research
Focus on emerging IT applications and services in the U.S., including digital health, Green IT, SaaS, Cloud Computing, HPC, ITS, CRM, PC client virtualization & management tools, SMB packaged software applications, and emerging IT services; evaluation of new IT applications & services; establishing partnerships with 3rd-party IT solution vendors.
3. Business Development & Alliance
Responsible for business development and alliance activities between venture-backed startup companies and Fujitsu Group companies; management of Intranet portal that connects Fujitsu staff with startups; support to Fujitsu as limited partner in venture funds; research and reporting on trends in venture investing and emerging technologies and services.
4. Technology Marketing
Responsible for conducting technology marketing to identify business opportunities for selected technologies from Fujitsu Labs; holding technology forums and other events to promote Fujitsu technologies and R&D collaboration with 3rd-parties, including universities, VCs, and other research organizations.
