Fujitsu Components America, Inc. initially began operations in the U.S. on April 1, 1996 under the name Fujitsu Takamisawa America, Inc., as a subsidiary of Fujitsu Takamisawa Component Ltd., a joint venture between Fujitsu Limited and Takamisawa Electric Company Ltd. of Japan. The company was renamed Fujitsu Components America, Inc. on October 1, 2001 when Fujitsu Takamisawa Component Limited and Takamisawa Electric Co. Ltd. unified their businesses and formed Fujitsu Component Limited.
FCAI's products are manufactured at factories located in Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and China using highly automated processes and strict quality process standards. The factories in Japan and Malaysia have earned either ISO 9002 or ISO 9001 certification. FCAI offers Just-In-Time service to major OEMs and ships products to many customers on a "No Incoming Verification" basis. It is recognized as a preferred supplier by many of its large customers, reflecting the superior quality and reliability of its products and dedication to customer service.
