Yoshimasa Kadooka is responsible for leadership in the research and development of computer simulations for human heart based on large scale supercomputer system in Fujitsu Ltd. He received his first degree in Mathematics at Kumamoto University in 1980 and his MSc in Mathematics at Kyushu University in 1982 and PhD in Computational Science at Kanazawa University in 2004.
After he joined Fujitsu Ltd. in 1982, he was working on the project related to telecommunication system. From 1990 to 2005, he was engaged in various R&D projects such as network services and grid computing system. From 2006 to 2012, he had been leading the various computer simulation projects such as tsunami, magnetic field, human heart and so on based on large scale supercomputer system.
For the last two years, he has been taking on a challenge to realize new business by using computer simulator “UT-Heart”, which contributes for medical and surgical therapies, collaborating with Profs Hisada and Sugiura in the University of Tokyo.
