Dr. Jorjeta Jetcheva is a Research Staff Member at Fujitsu Laboratories of America (FLA). Her current research interests are in the areas of Smart Grid, data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering, where she teaches graduate courses in the area of Smart Grid.  Prior to FLA, she was part of Itron's Smart Grid Architecture and Standards team, where she focused on Advanced Metering Infrastructure network architecture, communication protocols and standards.  Prior to Itron, Dr. Jetcheva was the System Architect at Firetide, Inc., where she was responsible for the design and analysis of multi-hop wireless mesh protocols and algorithms, and for the evolution of the company's mesh product line. 

Dr. Jetcheva received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University's Computer Science Department, defending a dissertation titled "Adaptive Demand-Driven Multicast Routing in Multi-Hop Mobile Ad Hoc Networks." She received her B.A. degree in Computer Science (summa cum laude) and Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College.
