Platforms

The central focus of Fujitsu’s platform approach is our GeoStream Access Gateway MSAN.
Highly scalable in concept, the platform utilises a unique modular design to maximise deployment flexibility. It simplifies network design by consolidating network platforms, while allowing the efficient transformation of services to IP networks, and the rapid adoption of innovative new services.
Its ethos is geared to reducing operational costs and enhancing the customer experience, as well as generating revenue and opportunities for service bundling.
Portfolio
- GeoStream Access Gateway MSAN
Fujitsu’s GeoStream Access Gateway MSAN addresses the disparate technical and operational requirements of copper, fibre and wireless access network delivery, by unifying these into a single, modular solution.
- Copper MSAN
Our GeoStream Access Gateway CMSAN is the only multi-service platform that has been proven in the field to deliver all the required NGN applications. This degree of success positions Fujitsu as one of the most experienced vendors in this particularly challenging aspect of NGN deployment.
With its high capacity, small footprint IP DSLAM design, Fujitsu's CMSAN provides comprehensive service delivery across prime-line POTS, Voice over IP, high speed broadband, ISDN Primary and Basic Rate, and IPTV. - Multi-Service Provisioning Platform
Fujitsu’s Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) meets the network requirements for Next-Generation Transport and Access. Fujitsu's MSPP supports the full scope of fibre access applications.
- Packet Optical Network Platform
Fujitsu’s new-generation Packet Optical Network Platform, FLASHWAVE® 9500 delivers high-bandwidth packet-based services for today’s multi-protocol packet environment.
FLASHWAVE 9500 sets the standard for Packet ONP, helping operators to manage operational and financial challenges with a future-proofed, consolidated and low operational cost network infrastructure. - Packet Optical Edge and Access
The FLASHWAVE® Compact Delivery System (CDS) Packet Optical Networking Platform is a compact and modular access platform. It is designed specifically to facilitate the network transition to Connection Oriented Ethernet (COE) services.
The FLASHWAVE CDS complements the FLASHWAVE 9500 Packet ONP in the metro aggregation and transport layers of the network, by extending the benefits of COE to the access network in addition to supporting existing SDH/TDM services. - Passive Optical Network
Many different applications are driving the need for widespread fibre access, such as the evolution of TV to on-demand IP-HDTV. Fujitsu’s passive optical networking platform represents one of the simplest GPONs to provision and control – lowering OpEx – with powerful Ethernet and IP tools applied at GPON line speed.
- Wireless
Fujitsu’s wireless solutions encompass end-to-end WiMAX deployment, and wireless SDH for long-haul trunk networks. Fujitsu's broadband wireless range includes electronic devices and radio access network solutions, plus network provisioning and planning services. For wireless SDH, Fujitsu has evolved a family of SDH microwave radio products, enabling service providers to build scalable and reliable networks, capable of delivering a range of multimedia services.
- Softswitch
Fujitsu builds fully-packaged switching and applications solutions for services providers, based on our networking technologies and extensive partnerships with other leading vendors, such as MetaSwitch. Our proven service delivery platforms employ IMS architecture, for deployment in packet-based carrier networks and to accelerate PSTN migrations.
- Network Management Systems
In today's deregulated environment, dynamic network management is an essential tool. Fujitsu has been creating advanced Network Management Systems (NMS) for many years, continuously evolving the leading edge carrier-grade FENS network management and information modelling system.
Fujitsu's FENS is designed to deliver the seamless, zero-touch tools required for rapid service activation and provision. Its integration history is extensive – spanning Q3 and CMIP, moving to agile implementations using RPC, SNMP and csv files, and evolving to web services architectures using XML and SOAP.
