A Secure Approach

The Fujitsu name is more generally associated with state of the art network components in the context of telecommunications, than with building management and security. However, when you consider the cost involved in building, maintaining and protecting telecom premises, the issues of maintaining sophisticated access and security become clear. Over a number of years, Fujitsu has developed a suite of solutions designed to manage telecom building systems - from power supplies and alarms, to access security and environmental control.

Solutions

Fujitsu's offers three principal solutions:

• OBASS (Operational Buildings Access & Security System) provides enhanced access and security for customer's personnel and buildings, and is installed at over 3,500 sites around the UK. In essence, it enables operational building security and access to be managed and controlled remotely, reducing on-site costs while enhancing the security and protection of valuable assets.
• PEMP (Power & Environment Management Platform) is a simple, reliable system that centralises management and communications control. It handles a wide range of functions, from voltage and current measurements, automatic routines for intelligent and dumb equipment, to building occupancy environmental monitoring and control.
• FENS EHS Management Platform handles the data communications infrastructure requirements, monitoring connectivity via a secure UNIX-based system that is accessed via a simple to use web-based user interface.
