You realised that the key to maintaining agility and reducing costs in the long term was to converge voice, data and video onto a single network. Initially, you wanted to migrate certain key areas of the business to Voice over IP (VoIP). However, it was concerned that the cost savings enabled by VoIP would be negated by the capital expenditure needed to migrate. You also wanted to be sure that any potential third party understood its long term strategic aims. This meant an independent supplier with experience in the implementation, management and support of IT networks who could deliver long term value was needed.

Fujitsu’s Managed VoIP Service provided the ideal solution for you. As a standardised managed service it was easy to adopt, offered low risk, predictable operating costs and very little upfront capital expenditure. Fujitsu’s independence and broad expertise meant that it was able to advise on an incremental approach to balance the achievement of long-term strategic goals with minimal, short term disruption. The Managed VoIP Service was implemented in a few key operational areas on a Price per User per Month (PUPM) arrangement. It included comprehensive support, ongoing service monitoring and had the scalability to expand into other areas at little or no added cost. Fujitsu is now working with you to integrate additional data, voice and video services, such as unified messaging, multimedia video conferencing, collaborative contact centres and interactive multimedia response systems as part of longer term convergence strategies.
