Fujitsu named Supplier of the Year at the European Retail Solutions Awards

7th June 2007 — Fujitsu Services is celebrating success at this year’s European Retail Solutions Awards, which saw the company receive an impressive two awards; one for the much coveted ‘Supplier of the Year’ and the other, an innovation award, in partnership with its client Vodafone.

Fujitsu was named ‘Supplier of the Year’ at the awards ceremony. The industry acclaimed judges commented that “the award recognises Fujitsu’s important place as a trusted adviser and innovator for many of Europe’s best known retail names.”

Fujitsu and Vodafone UK were awarded the ‘Most Innovative Use of In-Store Technology’ for the implementation of Q-MATIC, the world leader in queue management systems, which has transformed the management of customer flow in Vodafone stores. The technology has been installed in over 100 UK stores and a number of business benefits have already been realised, including a 26% increase of contract volumes.

Commenting on the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award, Dr Mark Dorgan, European retail partner at Fujitsu Services, said: “We are extremely proud to have won this prestigious award and is testament to our continued hard work in the retail arena.
