Fujitsu shortlisted for Outstanding People Development Award

The category sees Fujitsu shortlisted alongside businesses such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Royal Bank of Scotland and GNER. Fujitsu's entry focused on the ongoing training and development programme it has developed for its mobile engineers division.

London, 24th September 2004 — Fujitsu Services, one of Europe's leading IT infrastructure management services companies, has been shortlisted for the Investors in People Award for Outstanding People Development category in the annual National Business Awards, the most prestigious awards in the UK's business calendar.

The category sees Fujitsu shortlisted alongside businesses such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Royal Bank of Scotland and GNER. Fujitsu's entry focused on the ongoing training and development programme it has developed for its mobile engineers division. It highlighted initiatives such as L2ME (Listening to Mobile Engineers) whereby employees are empowered to take positive decisions on behalf of the company.

The Investors in People Award for Outstanding People Development, sponsored by Investors in People, is awarded to the company that can best demonstrate how its people development strategies have improved its performance and created a committed, motivated and effective workforce. The winners will be announced at the awards presentation ceremony to be held at Grosvenor House Hotel, London on 9 November 2004 .
