EDE event. Less talk, more action: IT sourcing as a strategy for a successful mission!
3rd June 2008.
Less Talk, More Action!
The central focus of this Executive Discussion Event (EDE) is on the value chain as seen from an IT perspective. The outsourcing market is expected to continue its growth over the next few years, and most companies do not see it as an option to take back IT operations that have been subcontracted. At the same time IT departments are becoming increasingly interested in innovation, so that it is now more relevant than ever to ensure the best possible organisation and management of IT value chains when running a company.
To achieve the greatest amount of value, you need to have a good balance between your own work and subcontracting it to others. So to what extent should you use your own resources and facilities, and to what extent should you use a third party? To cultivate successful relationships with others and to maintain their trust, it is essential to be thoroughly prepared, to work closely with the customer and to ensure ongoing renewal.
IT is inextricably linked with a company’s value chains and contributes to a Lean organisation – a world without waste. Lean IT services mean that traditional SLAs are more and more frequently replaced by new agreements that are focused on the customer’s corporate objectives.
This afternoon we will be gaining some insight into the benefits and drawbacks of IT outsourcing in relation to a Lean process. The speakers of this EDE will be sharing their experiences, approaches and successes. The programme also includes an opportunity for discussion.
