The Fujitsu Executive Institute (FEI)

Why Asia?
The Asian economies remain one of the hottest issues in today's boardrooms, having emerged in recent years as a hugely significant source of new opportunities, partnerships and competition. Many of our largest corporations and institutions are now making critical investment decisions in the region.
Where can organisations making these decisions turn to for advice and guidance on the potential for and pitfalls of making strategic investments in Asia?
The Fujitsu Executive Institute (FEI)
Fujitsu is a leading Asian company, as well as a global corporation, and as such offers a unique insight into the complexities of the Asian world. It understands the enormous variety of the culture as well as the business opportunities. The benefits of this positioning amongst the top IT services companies are significant.
In creating the FEI, Fujitsu has provided a highly successful forum for peer-to-peer discussions between the most senior decision makers, enabling organisations to gain crucial insight into operating in, buying from, or selling to Asia.
FEI - The Story so Far
Established in 2004, the FEI is an invitation-only discussion group for Chief Executives and Chairpersons. It meets at least quarterly to discuss matters of strategic importance relating to the emerging Asia-Pacific economies.
Since its inception, the FEI has heard presentations from the most senior government and business speakers, each one followed by an open discussion on the matters raised.
The FEI dinners have grown in popularity since the programme's launch.
Opinions, knowledge, fears and concerns have been readily shared and it has been known for members to have made changes to policy or strategy the very next day as a result of an insight from the speaker or the debate.
One member said a comment made at one meeting was worth “too many £millions to admit”.
