Embracing shared services
Enjoy the benefits without losing control
Public Sector Flex

The case for Shared Services is well recognised. They have been shown to deliver increased efficiency and cost savings, to improve working practices, and lead to better end user experiences.
The UK Cabinet Office has embraced this logic, and Shared Services are now playing a central role in the government strategy.
The Cabinet Office is, in fact, very much driving the implementation of Shared Services, but the introduction has not been without its challenges. Public sector bodies have evolved in a variety of different ways depending on their own particular circumstances and their IT environments have done likewise. The result is that each starts from a very different point. As such, there is a need to ensure that organisations that are sharing services can all reap the benefits, in an environment where they can still receive a service tailored to their own requirements.
