  • Case study, Schiphol Group

    Schiphol Group is an owner and operator of airports. In the Netherlands, the Group runs four airports: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam Airport, Lelystad Airport, and Eindhoven Airport. In addition, it also develops so-called ‘AirportCities’; dynamic junctions of air, rail and road connections, where people and companies, logistic activities and shops, information and entertainment come together and reinforce each other. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is Schiphol Group’s showcase; the AirportCity formula is presented here in its optimum format.

  • Case study, Aker Yards

    After evaluating a range of potential partners, including its three existing suppliers, Aker Yards decided to outsource the management of its entire IT infrastructure, including 1,400 desktop systems, to Fujitsu. In addition, Fujitsu also took over the hosting and day-today operation of its data centre services, including 150 existing servers located in its Turku yard.

    Finstaship chose to outsource the operation and ongoing support of its IT infrastructure and telecommunications services to Fujitsu, based on the use of its managed service operating model, called Patja in Finland. The agreement covers about 50 workstations at Finstaship’s offices in Helsinki and Turku and originally around 130 workstations onboard the ships of the Finstaship fleet.

    KLM undertook to use the services of at least 30 specialists from Fujitsu to manage its workstations over a two-year period.

  • Case study, Manchester Airport. interactive passenger information system

    Following an extensive competitive tender, covering 25 companies, Manchester Airport awarded Fujitsu the contract to design and develop an interactive, user-centric passenger information system that could be integrated with Manchester Airport's existing transport systems.

  • Case study, National Express Group. Implementing Qjump service with RJIS

    Thanks to Fujitsu’s RJIS, National Express now has a cost effective way to sell tickets online, enabling it to compete with similar services provided by other transport operators.

  • Case study, TNT Express. Document management system

    TNT Express, the world’s leading business-to-business express carrier needed a document management system and were keen that as a business critical system, it would be held in-house. TNT worked in partnership with Fujitsu to develop a document management solution (DMS) which has dramatically shortened customs clearance processes, and will save an estimated £1.2m per year of paper handling and storage costs.
