Multi-agency Service Delivery
The benefits of information sharing across multi-disciplinary teams and agencies brings some clear benefits
These include the ability for case workers to access common information from a single access point, and the elimination of wasted effort through duplicate data entry.
As a Local Service Provider to the NHS, and a major supplier of secure systems to central and local government, Fujitsu has a clear understanding of the needs of professionals working across different government departments and agencies, as well as the security requirements for working with sensitive data.
We recognised this in the Causeway Programme in Northern Ireland, where we are integrating the six Criminal Justice Organisations to improve the administration of justice through new ways of working and better information sharing.
The main challenge was the differing needs of each organisation, but we worked closely with the Causeway project team and representatives from all criminal justice organisations, helping to refi ne business requirements and producing a Logical Data Model they all could agree on.
Our work for CJIT on the Criminal Justice Exchange is based on the following vision:
“Anyone involved in the Criminal Justice System – users of it or people working within it - should have access from any browser-enabled device to a seamless, coherent set of applications and information to cover the breadth of their dealings.”
