    With a next-generation branch banking system, Fujitsu has helped a top ten Japanese bank reduce its staff and office space by more than 50% Fujitsu has developed a contactless palm vein authentication technology which uses vascular patterns as personal identification data. This is used by the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, for example, in their ATMs. Fujitsu has developed a fraud repudiation system for banking institutions. This system detects unauthorised withdrawals from bank accounts by the use of stolen or counterfeit cards and informs account holders.

    Leading international insurance company AEGON UK, acquired the life and pensions business of Guardian Royal Exchange in October 1999. As other parts of the Guardian business were to remain with a competitor, AEGON UK needed to transfer the life and pensions applications and data to a new processing centre. Many of the applications had been operational for over twenty years and their uncoupling would involve hardware and software issues well as the transfer of operational knowledge.     Allianz’s extensive IT infrastructure in Germany was being managed by its subsidiary, IT service provider Allianz Shared Infrastructure Services GmbH (ASIC). However, ASIC wanted to standardise, consolidate and streamline operations by forging a long term strategic partnership with an external vendor for the supply, installation, support and maintenance of Allianz’s desktop, network and telecommunication services in Germany.

    First Direct and Fujitsu started working together in 1997 when they produced the world's first Java-based 24-hour electronic banking service over a 12 month period, from development to testing through to implementation. Fujitsu wins £80m outsourcing contract from the Financial Services Authority

April 19, 2007 – Fujitsu Services has announced today that it is working with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) on an £80m transformational outsourcing arrangement to fundamentally change the way in which IT supports the business of the FSA. This arrangement is over an 8 year term and includes a no penalty cancellation option after 5 years.
