Integration, Innovation and Interoperability for Defence and Security
Fujitsu at DSEi
At DSEi, Fujitsu Services demonstrated a portfolio of solutions and services for the Defence and Security markets, themed around integration, innovation and interoperability. The stand comprised several zones, each with a different focus, including: Innovation and Secure Mobile Solutions, Homeland Security and Cross Domain Data Transfer, Business space, Battlespace, Maritime and Logistics.

Homeland Security
On public show for the first time is Fujitsu's Crisis Communication Service. This makes disparate communications systems work together by linking together any device, across any protocol with security assured to provide effective communication and command.
Cross Domain Security
Adding to the Company’s portfolio of Information Assurance solutions is Fujitsu‘s unique Cross Domain Data Transfer Security solution. This has been developed to overcome the complex problem of moving data securely across two different domains, with the strongest protection, detection and authentication features yet available.
Innovation and Secure Mobile Systems
Fujitsu places major emphasis on R&D and partnering to develop and identify secure products and to integrate them into solutions that conform to government information standards. Recent innovations that were on display included PC in your Pocket, Handheld computers, Encrypted memory stick, Deployed Communications Solution (DCS) - A secure office in a bag and Bio-security and ePaper.
Business and Service Management
Collaborative and innovative working worldwide, using commercial, off the shelf components and Fujitsu’s new Through Life Capability Management (TLCM) tools that helps define and manage the true costs of assets.
Battlespace
Command and Control solutions, providing access to accurate, timely and coherently presented information and facilitate shared situational awareness, including Semantic openJOP, Strategic Knowledge Information Portal (SKIP) and SAPPHIRE.
Maritime
Solutions including a Fujitsu designed and built ultra rugged Navy PC especially suited to narrow confines aboard ship and adapted to rough seas and battle conditions. It is fully operational on more than 100 Navy vessels and is also on BP commercial fleets. Fujitsu’s openJOP also gives commanders afloat the full joint operational picture disseminating information across all areas of the Joint Battlespace.
Integrated Logistics Management
This provides a view of the whole logistics chain on one secure handheld device. Uniquely, it embraces, rather than replaces existing legacy systems to provide a ‘factory’ to ‘foxhole’ solution to plan, track and monitor the logistics chain in total security.
