Woodies DIY – Woodie DIY has enjoyed an internet presence since 1998. The original site provided DIY hints and helpful information. However, Woodies chief executive Ray Coleman was eager to enhance the company’s web based activity and investigate online selling.
WHSmith – Fujitsu was challenged to come up with innovative IT solutions that WHSmith could utilise in its stores in order to address its evolving business requirements.
Whitbread - Premier Travel Inn – In July 2004, Whitbread acquired hotel group Premier Lodge from The Spirit Group and merged the company with its own chain, Travel Inn, to create Premier Travel Inn, the UK’s leading value hotel company. With the 141 Premier Lodge hotels, the newly formed company encompassed 457 hotels, with a combined 28,000 rooms.
Whitbread – Fujitsu was chosen by Whitbread to provide an outsourced solution that includes a fully managed service for wide area network (WAN) links, ranging from ISDN to Megastream Ethernet, to all of the company’s extended family of brands in over 1,600 locations in the UK.
TGI Friday’s - implementation of the B-Pad hand-held terminal – Fujitsu was awarded a contract by TGI Friday's to implement and support the B-Pad, a hand-held terminal, running Mobile MICROS software.
Stockmann – Established in 1862, Stockmann is the fastest expanding listed retail company in Finland. Today it has more than 15,000 employees and its annual revenue is estimated to be approx. 2.3 billion in 2008.
Staples: installation of GlobalSTORE EPoS retail technology – Staples selected GlobalSTORE, a complete retail software solution from Fujitsu Services. The solution was chosen based upon the significant operational performance enhancements it could offer the retailer, as well as the extra functionality it would provide.
Red.es – Fujitsu worked with red.es to design ONTSI.Data, an innovative information management solution that enables a wide range of users to electronically prepare their own reports using the main Information Society performance indicators.
Orange – Following an extensive competitive evaluation, Fujitsu was chosen to upgrade all of the point of sale hardware in Orange’s then 236 UK retail stores, including the porting of its main retail application onto the new platform.
Mitchells & Butlers – Fujitsu was awarded a five year contract to devise and deploy a repair and maintenance service across Mitchells & Butlers’ entire estate and develop and roll out an Install, Moves, Adds and Changes (IMAC) service for refurbishments and new site openings.
Maruzen Co. Ltd. – Maruzen Co. Ltd. opened its first store in Yokohama, Japan in 1869, selling books as well as a range of imported fountain pens and typewriters. Now a leading company in Japan, Maruzen recently opened its largest retail outlet, the Marunouchi Store, which boasts an inventory of 1.8 million books.
La Feltrinelli – With over 30 years experience of supporting the needs of customers, Fujitsu has a proven track record in providing innovative systems and management services that increase revenue, reduce costs, improve productivity and customer services and deliver a compelling return on investment.
Jerónimo Martins Group – The Jerónimo Martins Group is a leading food distribution and manufacturing organisation based in Portugal. The company operates Pingo Doce, the largest supermarket chain in Portugal with 214 stores, as well as 42-store hypermarket chain Feira Nova.
Hillarys Blinds – Hillarys recognised that it required a cost-effective solution, integrated with its SAP system which would improve efficiency and accuracy of ordering. Fujitsu developed a solution to meet Hillarys’ needs, offering real time, two-way communications from a mobile device to the back office, integrating seamlessly with Hillarys’ existing SAP ordering system. The solution enables advisors to access their daily schedule on their mobile device. This gives them customer details and the nature of appointments which they then use to schedule visits.
Galp Energia – Following a pilot project, Galp chose Fujitsu to provide the full managed service, which includes the installation, management and commercial operation of the Galp TV system. The solution allows Galp to contact its customers through relevant, constantly updated information. Running specific promotions at the point-of-sale leads to a more dynamic and interactive customer experience and increased revenues.
Cora – Fujitsu proposed deploying its U-Scan self-checkout system alongside Cora’s traditional tills. U-Scan is a fully automated checkout solution, which enables hypermarket customers to scan their purchases interactively by themselves and also to pay for them automatically, in cash, by bankcard or Cora Card.
Body Shop International – The Body Shop International is a values driven retailer of high quality skin and body care products.With over 2,000 stores in 54 countries, including the UK, USA, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific, The Body Shop has a global reach, retailing over 600 products and 400 accessories.
AEON – Fujitsu was chosen to implement a new SCO solution, using technology based on its retail-hardened TeamPoS 3000 (TP3000) terminals, which are designed to withstand the rigours of highvolume checkout environments with easy serviceability.
