Fujitsu - SourceIT – Fujitsu has developed a system called SourceIT, an e-Commerce system that is highly efficient, accurate and reliable. Its key aim is to provide a light touch ordering system that can be offered to Fujitsu’s customers as a shared service hosted in a secure Fujitsu data centre.

Fujitsu Services – Sourcing & Supply Services – Fujitsu Services is a leading European information technology services company, with an annual turnover of £2.46 billion (€3.59 billion) and over 19,000 employees in 20 countries. Its Sourcing & Supply Services operation provides purchasing and supply services for its major customers. In addition, its Technical Integration Centre (TIC) offers IT engineering, configuration and repair services, recycle and disposal solutions.

Fujitsu Services – creating a culture of continuous improvement – Fujitsu chose to work with Unipart, experts in Lean implementation with over 25 years experience and a leading exponent of the Lean methodology, to help it create ‘model lines’, which could be used to apply Lean tools and techniques to different service processes.

However, Fujitsu recognised that it needed to evaluate how its own communication and management could be improved through the deployment of a mobile solution.

Fujitsu Finland – Fujitsu Services Finland is a leading provider of advanced IT services and product solutions, with annual net sales of approximately 300 million euros. The company employs 1,800 people in Finland. As one of the its key capabilities is helping other organisations to mobilise their workforce and data, Fujitsu realised that the productivity of its own workforce could be improved by providing them with real-time access to e-mail and appointment scheduling.

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand – Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand has 2,700 employees and is a full service provider of information technology and communications solutions. From strategic consulting to application and infrastructure solutions and services, the company works with clients to consult, design, build, operate and support business solutions.

Fujitsu: implementing Lean tools and techniques – In order to evaluate which Lean tools and techniques could be successfully incorporated and how, Fujitsu chose to run a pilot in its Customer Services organisation, which was led by consultants from Unipart, the UK's largest independent supplier of car and truck components and a leading exponent of the Lean methodology.
