Infrastructure Services from Fujitsu offer Specsavers precisely the end-to-end managed services concept the company wanted to cover the entire lifecycle of the stores’ IT infrastructure.
That starts with hardware procurement, for which a customized online ordering portal is used. As soon as the hardware for a store arrives, it is physically installed, configured and examined at a testing station at the staging center.
Once the desktops, servers or POS systems have passed this examination, they are repacked, shipped to the store in question and installed there by a trained technician. If service agreements have been concluded, break-fix teams from Fujitsu assume responsibility for maintenance of the systems over their entire lifecycle, starting with the point when they are put into operation. Whenever systems are replaced, the service staff at Fujitsu also ensures that they are deinstalled and disposed of properly
