How would you describe your role as a Project Co-ordinator?

I have been as a Project Co-ordinator (on the Central Training Team) for one of our major customers for 7 months and still today it is proving to be a very exciting and challenging role. Its high complexity provides me with a variety of tasks to perform within the role. Some of my responsibilities include delivering my Team’s Project Plan and a summary of our Financial Forecast, amongst many other things.

What I enjoy most about this role is our overall aim to connect our customer’s sites in the Southern Cluster. This is an incredible challenge and working towards this and every go-live at a deployment site brings about the most extraordinary environment throughout the entire team.

What makes you proud to work for Fujitsu Services?

I believe in general, organisations tend to transform you into just another corporate clone huddled away at your desk working a 9-5 job. What I like about Fujitsu is their adaptable working environment that suits every individual. The feeling of a team is also greatly present in this organisation - A good sense of humour here makes it all the more fun!

What advice would you give to people looking to develop a career in your business area?

As a Project Co-ordinator, it is up to you to make your career happen. Pro-activity is highly valued and will get you very far. You are generally encouraged to diversify and work in many different projects to build your experience. Project Management is a fantastic area to join and will give you the skills you need to climb up the ladder
