Below are some of the initiatives that we have in place to help us create our high performance culture.
Induction
Those first few weeks are key. Joining a new business can be quite daunting. People are used to certain ways of doing things, they know who to turn to and when. Then they find themselves in a new environment with new systems, processes and people.
At Fujitsu Service we recognise this and have put together a structured induction process which is tailored to individual needs. We want to make the transition as easy as possible, which gives each new joiner every opportunity to settle into their new role and feel part of the Fujitsu family.
Fujitsu Experience
A one day practical, interactive and informative event that has been designed to give a taster of what it is like to be part of Fujitsu focusing on the culture and values of our organisation and provides the opportunity to meet with other new joiners and network with people from across all areas of Fujitsu.
Fujitsu Induction
A half-day session designed to share information about the organisation which is more locally geared and helps show how a new joiner how their role fits into the bigger picture.
Fujitsu on-line induction
An area on our intranet that is easily accessible. Providing the tools and information to assist new joiners and includes a handy A-Z guide to Fujitsu.
Personal Development Plan
Each employee is encouraged to develop a PDP in conjunction with their Manager. Its principle focus is to provide a structured forum to help ensure an individual realises their potential through company supported personal development plan.
Invest in Yourself
Invest in yourself is a “one-stop” shop designed to support an individuals development needs. It contains a raft of information and tips and hints on how to successfully develop your career within Fujitsu including all the training programmes that are available to you. Invest in yourself is dedicated to helping our employees prepare for their long and short term career goals. We recognise that by actively supporting the development of careers, we are helping to provide for our peoples futures and also ensuring we have the right skills to meet our business goals in the future.
Career Mapping Tool
Fujitsu have developed an on-line career mapping tool that guides our employees as they plan their next career moves. It contains all the information needed to build a career map. Our people can see all of the potential opportunities open to them as well as being able to identify any skills gap which they need to bridge in order to progress within Fujitsu and importantly how they go about aligning this. In turn this tool is complemented by a sophisticated internal vacancy site which allows individuals to identify and apply for new opportunities across the company.

Fujitsu Management Academy
This 18 month programme prepares our people for management. It promotes excellence in people management and a consistency of approach which is highly valued by our people. It creates leaders who inspire, motivate and unite their teams to deliver outstanding business and individual performance. Modules covered in this programme include challenging conversations - straight talking, genuine listening. Understanding the impact of leadership style - leading for exceptional performance. Building high performing teams.
P&PM Academy
Continual improvement is the route to World Class Programme and Project Management. This programme is designed for Project Managers with all levels of experience in mind. It supports continuous improvement and ensures that all our project offices are prepared for the challenges of the future.
HR Academy
High Performance Culture – The Challenge for One HR Offering a series of learning and development programmes the Academy offers skills and knowledge workshops including but not limited to Consultancy skills, Negotiation skills and Impact and Influence skills.
Value in People (VIP)
People’s contribution to the organisation is recognised and valued Saying thank-you is part and parcel of everyday life at Fujitsu and people’s efforts are warmly appreciated and spoken in the moment. However we go that one step further in recognising and valuing people. All of our employees can nominate other team members or managers for a reward which can range from a formal thank-you note to a gift. Equally it can be used by managers to reward a team or someone within a team. Winners of the top awards are publicly acknowledged via the company communication channels.
