For AEGON UK, we successfully completed the highly complex task of transferring inherited life and pensions data to a new processing centre following the acquisition of L & P business from Guardian Royal Exchange – delivered right on time in just 12 weeks.
Standard Life turned to us to provide a new data storage platform in conjunction with EMC, consolidating mainframe, AIX and Intel/Novell platforms onto one EMC DMX-3 environment.
The Resolution Group chose Fujitsu to provide outsourced date services and application management services as key elements supporting the Scottish Provident closed book life and pensions business.
And when Scottish Widows won ‘Best Online New Business Provider’ at the Pensions Technology Awards, it was no coincidence that the facility for individual personal pensions was designed and built by Fujitsu!
Beating the transfer deadline for AEGON UK
As other parts of Guardian Royal Exchange’s business were to remain with competitors following AEGON UK’s acquisition of their life and pensions business, it was necessary to transfer all L&P applications to a new processing centre – and all within just 12 weeks.
It was a daunting task involving many hardware and software issues as well as the transfer of operational knowledge. No problem for Fujitsu.
We completed the transfer right on time, immediately providing 130 MIPS of processing capacity and 1.5 Terabytes of storage.
