Corporate responsibility within the marketplace

Green solutions
As an outsourcer, we are energetically introducing green IT solutions into the physical estate – offices and data centres
– together with the end-user services we deploy within them. Two such examples are Unified Communication and Collaboration
(UCC) and Desktop Managed Services, and they are becoming very successful at helping organisations save money, reduce the
need to travel and improve their sustainability.
Reducing customers’ carbon footprint
Learning from decades of experience in managing large and complex IT environments, we have developed a service specifically
aimed at making data centres more energy-efficient, helping our customers to significantly reduce their carbon footprint.
Application value assessments
We help our customers understand how they can best realise their desired business benefits through smart, responsible investment.
Customers have the opportunity to rethink their application strategies in multiple contexts that includes sustainability and
corporate responsibility.
Green and ethical sourcing
Fujitsu Services has a complex supply chain – we spend a lot on the components and equipment that goes on to become the physical
assets underpinning our outsourcing and service solutions. Consequently, we place obligations upon our suppliers that ensure
they focus on products and services that reduce total material consumption, fossil fuel and energy usage, transportation and
waste. Their responsibilities also include obligations on human rights, diversity and health and safety. In partnership with
our suppliers, we lay the foundation for sound, long-term relationships that help us both become better global citizens.
Supply chain auditing
We are concerned with responsible sourcing within the marketplace and establishing mutually-supportive relationships with
our stakeholders – customers, suppliers, partners and the communities we serve. As a result we have developed a comprehensive
CR Supplier Questionnaire to support our CR Policies. Forming an integral part of the overall tender process to all suppliers,
it creates a platform to actively manage high risk and strategic suppliers that account for 80% by spend.
Helping customers achieve flexible working
Smarter use of IT can help organisations save money, reduce their environmental impact and be better corporate citizens. Through
our services portfolio, we help customers deploy innovative IT solutions and gain the benefits of our investment in cleaner,
more efficient and sustainable service design. Beyond being green, these offerings also combine to help our customers provide
their own staff with flexible working options and facilitate an improved work-life balance.
