Corporate Governance
We believe that the concurrent pursuit of efficient management and the proper control of business risks are essential to achieving sustainable improvement in corporate value.
Compliance
We comply with financial policies and practices that ensure that our business is soundly managed and financed and that its financial performance is properly and accurately monitored and reported. This includes compliance with generally accepted accounting practice (IFRS); with regulatory requirements determined by tax authorities, company law and accounting standards; and compliance with local law and obligation in all countries in which we operate.
Although not required to comply with the Combined Code on Corporate Governance, the company takes guidance on corporate governance from it. For instance, the role of the chairman and chief executive are separated and the board has set up audit and corporate governance committees (amongst others) with written terms of reference.
Risk Management
All Fujitsu Services businesses are subject to effective evaluation of business risk. All internal investment decisions and responses to tender, development projects and delivery services are managed such that all technical, estimation, operation and business risks are understood and controlled. Similar issues are incorporated into our own requests for tender.

Business continuity
A Business Continuity Management Board acts on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer to set policy, regularly review and authorise plans, receive reports on rehearsal and implementation of plans, as well as constitute the highest level of management in the event of a major or escalated incident.
Suppliers
We recognise that auditing the supply chain is important, both for environmental impacts and fair and ethical dealings. Management of suppliers is performed at a number of levels dependent upon the nature of the interaction required and the strategic importance of the supplier.
This ranges from dedicated supplier managers conducting contract negotiations to the day to day interactions involving our service desk. A dedicated service management team is involved at all levels of supplier interaction and engages in regular supplier service reviews for key suppliers.
This ensures that, with input from the service management team and our technical capability units, suppliers are managed effectively to enable customer expectations to be met.
