Fujitsu Appoints Tech Pacific as Master Distributor for PRIMERGY server

Bangkok, May 19, 2005 — Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand) Ltd has appointed Tech Pacific as a master distributor for the PRIMERGY server line based on Intel Architecture (IA), in a bid to capture between 5 and 10 per cent of the IA-based server market in Thailand by end-2005.

PRIMERGY has been developed to accommodate the twin demands of high efficiency and stability from enterprises as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Created by an international team of skilled R&D engineers, the sleek-looking PRIMERGY servers incorporate excellent heat ventilation capabilities and hard disks that are insulated from external sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI). These features reduce the probability of a “system hang” or component damage due to overheating or EMI, for added stability and to safeguard customers’ IT investment.

The servers have won several design awards including:
- The Red Dot Design Award 2003, from the Red Dot Institute
- The iF Design Award 2004, from the Industrie Forum Design Hannover
