Experienced Japanese Executive Appointed President of Fujitsu Systems Thailand

Bangkok, September 27 ,2005 — Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand), an affiliate company of Japanese global IT solutions giant Fujitsu Limited, today announced the appointment of Shoichiro Yoshioka as the new president for Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand). Shoichiro, who brings almost 30 years of management experience in information technology across Asia Pacific and America, is to lead the Thai business through the next stage of growth, particularly in local government and enterprise markets as well as the strong relationship with partners, and will help to maintain Fujitsu’s global reputation as a leading supplier of IT and communications solutions.

The appointment underlines Fujitsu's commitment to supplying software solutions, systems integration services and IT platforms to government enterprises, small to medium-sized business (SMB) in Thailand.

Commenting on his appointment, Shoichiro said, "I am excited about the coming challenges because the IT market in Thailand has room to grow in the future. Fujitsu Systems has been promoting and will push further innovative products such as its PRIMERGY server, which achieved double sales revenue from last year with the great supported by valued partner. "We are confident that the innovation of PRIMERGY server will enable us to reach 5% of our share in server market by the end of Fujitsu FY2005. Our PRIMERGY server was designed to give 24x7 supports. It centralises control and so enhance efficiency and reduces management expense. This has been experienced by the number of our customers such as AOT, Sony, AEON, and etc. This is part of my objective which I will make FSBT sales scale double within 3 years" explained Shoichiro.

Prior to assuming his new position as president of Fujitsu Systems Business, Shoichiro was an assistant to the president of Asia & Pacific Business, Global Business Development Group, Fujitsu Japan. Shoichiro's extensive experience is based on senior global management positions including stints as managing director of Fujitsu General Electronics Ltd., Japan, managing director of Fujitsu Korea Ltd., (South Korea), and director of Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc.

Yoshioka earned a Master's degree in Automatic Control Engineering from the Graduate School at Osaka University.
