Ministry of Industry Teams with Fujitsu and Siemens to Develop Sub Call Center Service 1563
Ministry of Industry, Bangkok , 8 September 2004 — Ministry of Industry today announced the launch of Sub Call Center Services at telephone number 1563. According to e-Government commitment to provide fast and easy access services to people, MOI Sub Call Center has been set with an aim to facilitate people and support SMEs with an easy access to industrial business information provided by the ministry, its cluster and autonomous organizations.
With The objectives is to provide industrial business information and general guidance that related to ministry of Industrial to target group according to government Strategy that need to promote and extend the competitive potential at the global level of industrial, small and medium enterprises, community enterprises and entrepreneurs and also to support E-Government policy.
Sumonman Kalayasiri, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Industry unveiled that “According to E-Government policy and its vision to enforce the use of IT among government agencies to help improve services; Ministry of Industry is key-driven to grow and develop potential industries in Thailand with value information provision in terms of industry development, investment, SMEs developing processes. Therefore, the ministry takes this into action, develop and implement sub call center through service number 1563.
Ministry of Industry has developed the sub call center by outsourcing the project to Fujitsu System Business (Thailand) and Siemens Limited, to interlink all systems and information from all Ministry Cluster an its 20 autonomous organizations into main system. This enables MOI to provide internal users and investor or SMEs related information through automated multi-channel services both telephone and Internet. In this light, ministry is able to empower these people with information and knowledge to help them tap into business opportunities.
“The Sub Call Center system is an important tool to help develop SMEs’ businesses and enforce them with knowledge power to be competitive in country, regional and international level. Entrepreneurs and SMEs will truly benefit from supported information and comprehensive consultation from the ministry in terms of business plan, budget, supplies, production and target market. The knowledge received from the services, will allow them to do business successfully, not only in country level, but also international level”, said Sumonman.
As Ministry of Industry has outsourced sub call center project to Fujitsu, the company is responsible for the whole implementation processes, including the interlink processes and systems between Ministry and its cluster and 20 autonomous organizations into a single sub call center system under 1563, by incorporation with Siemens as a provider of telephone and interactive systems for sub call center.
The ministry also plans to extend sub call center services to Customer Relationship Management. In order to link information system services under MOI to GCC (Government Contact Center) within the near future.

with efficiency. Moreover, it will help all government agencies minimize time and operating costs, and enable people to easy
access to government’s information and knowledge widely. Meanwhile, people can expect for high service level as they receive
from public sectors. This is why we foresee the importance of technology. It helps us deliver a quality of services to meet
their expectation at the highest level”,concluded Sumonman.
