Application Server

The Application Server is a server component that provides the following functions:

Object Server

The Object Sever is a server component that manages the storage and retrieval of images and documents.

cc:doc

cc:doc is the rich client use to access Fujitsu DMS. It is implemented as a browser-enabled ActiveX component loaded on Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Thin Client

Thin Client is a zero-footprint web interface use to access Fujitsu DMS via the browser. You can access Fujitsu DMS using thin client on any PC, regardless of whether cc:doc is loaded. Some functionality is lost, but it is still ideal for mobile workers who require access remotely via the Internet.

Document Version Control

When a document is checked-out for modification, the document is locked for further modification by other users. This is to ensure integrity of the documents.

Universal Viewer

cc:doc provides a universal viewer that support viewing of more than 250 different file formats including a wide variety of popular document formats which may be retrieved from the repository to the workstation running the web browser.

If the document retrieved has any annotations associated with it these will also be automatically retrieved to the user’s workstation.
