Singapore, March 4, 2008 – Fujitsu Microelectronics Asia Pte Ltd (FMAL) today introduced a new full high-definition (HD) multi-standard video decoder LSI for Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) HD broadcasts, that decodes both MPEG-2 and H.264 compression formats in full HD resolution (1920 dots x 1080 lines).

Singapore, December 10, 2007 – Fujitsu Electronic Devices Group Asia (EDGA) today announced a majority investment in Chengdu West Star Chips Co., Ltd. to boost its R&D capabilities in Chengdu, West China. Tokyo, December 4, 2007 – Fujitsu Limited and the Institute for Information Industry (III) of Taiwan, a non-governmental organization jointly sponsored by the Taiwan government and prominent private enterprises, today announced their agreement to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MOU), to establish a new company in Taiwan that will develop application platforms and provide engineering support based on WiMAX technology from Fujitsu and III.
