Singapore, March 26, 2007 – Fujitsu Components Asia, Limited today announced that a collaboration between its parent company, Fujitsu Components Limited, and Fujitsu Laboratories, Ltd. has resulted in the development of a three-dimensional (3D) polymer optical waveguide and a bi-directional, 4-channel optical parallel transceiver utilizing the 3D polymer optical waveguide as an optical integration platform, which simplifies the structure and assembly of the transceiver.

- Fujitsu Introduces Four-Channel Media Converter with Cable Assemblies
Singapore, February 20, 2006 – Fujitsu Components Asia, Ltd., today announced it has released a four-channel, copper-to-fiber media converter that extends optical bandwidth transport of 12.5 Gigabit/sec to a maximum distance of 300m with low-power dissipation when used with a media detect circuit. By using the Fujitsu media converter, IT managers can use one compact, low-cost I/O interface through a single port for either copper or optical signal transmission.

Singapore, May 11, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Asia, Limited, today released a 4-channel optical transceiver module that uses an internal media converter to extend the signal transmission reach of a copper interface up to 300m at 2.5Gb/s or 100m at 3.125Gb/s over multimode fiber (MMF) ribbon cable. Using the Fujitsu optical module, IT managers have the flexibility to implement either a copper or an optical solution using one low-cost copper I/O interface.

Singapore, May 11, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Asia, Limited, today announced the release of a copper electrical transceiver module compliant with the X2 multi-source agreement (MSA) specification Rev. 1.0b. The X2 x-mGC module transmits 10Gb/s Ethernet over 20m of standard InfiniBand copper cable (AWG24) or VSR parallel optics through a single port, offering a cost-effective, standards-compliant product targeted for multiple applications in 10Gb/s enterprise, storage, and telecom markets. Using the imbedded media detect circuit, transmission up to 300 meters over standard multi-mode can also be achieved using Fujitsu’s o-MGC optical media converter.

The new module reduces the cost per port by offering a low-cost copper solution that has the flexibility to support VSR parallel optics through a single port.

Singapore, April 5, 2004 – Fujitsu Components Asia, Limited today announced it has expanded its high-speed copper microGiGaCN™ connector series by adding a vertical board-mount I/O socket. The new socket expands Fujitsu’s offering of standard, copper I/O and mid-plane interconnects that comply with InfiniBand®, 10G CX4 Ethernet, and 10G Fiber Channel requirements while meeting the needs of other high-speed applications. For distances less than 20m, the microGiGaCN series provides a low-cost alternative to optical fiber.
