Training

Services Provided

Training covers the information and skills required by end users to use and exploit the facilities of the agreed PC desktop. Training courses should cover the product set of the agreed PC desktop.


Fujitsu training service provides the Customer's end users with training on the agreed standard PC desktop computing environment and include :

Training Requirements planning

Fujitsu will agree with the Customer the training courses and facilities required to satisfy the end users' skills requirements.

Fujitsu will identify the skills required by the end users, agree the products to be covered and the training course content required. Fujitsu will identify what standard training courses are available which will meet the identified course requirements. Fujitsu will also identify what training courses will require Customer specific tailoring, if any, and what the tailoring requirements are, in order to meet the identified course requirements.

Fujitsu will then agree the training methods and maximum number of attendees for each course.

Fujitsu will define the training course specifications, training course material and course handout documentation required for each course. The training course specification describes the course content, objectives of the course and pre-requisites, what the delegate capability will be at the end of the course, and for whom the course is suitable.

Fujitsu will agree with the Customer training venues, facilities and resources required, as well as an "in principle" training schedule. This schedule will form the basis for setting up actual training events, subject to resource availability at the time. Will also be agreed procedures for enrolment, feedback to assess quality of the course and invoicing. Finally, procedures for identifying an agreeing improvements to courses, based on the feedback given.

Fujitsu then produces a training plan documenting the requirements agreed. The plan will detail both standard courses and associated costs as well as tailored course requirements and associated costs. The plan will also detail resources needed and how they can be provided, and the "in principle" training schedule.

Provision of Training

Fujitsu will carry out training at a Fujitsu training venue, or at agreed location, and will provide PC desktop systems customized to the Customer's defined and supplied standard.

Fujitsu will prepare the training course specifications, all training course material and the related documentation for each standard training course identified on the training schedule. Fujitsu will be responsible for maintaining the course material and keeping it up to date with product versions in use in the agreed standard PC desktop computing environment, as well as incorporating improvement to courses, using agreed procedures.

Administration and Scheduling

Fujitsu will manage all course administration using agreed procedures, including scheduling training courses and instructors, working as closely to the agreed "in principle" schedule, booking users on courses, and where necessary reschedule bookings and collecting, collating user feedback and producing invoicing details.

Provision of Service Reports

Fujitsu will produce regular reports for the Customer for review and payment. Fujitsu will agree with the Customer the details to be provided in the report, including user details, course given, charging and invoicing details and an overview of the user feedback on the courses given over an agreed period.

Fujitsu will review the user feedback as agreed with the Customer, to monitor the quality of training and to identify improvement required to training courses.

Optional Services

Tailored Training Courses

For those training courses identified as requiring specific Customer tailoring, Fujitsu will produce tailored training course specifications, all the training course material and the related documentation for each training course, using the tailored requirements identified.

Fujitsu will be responsible for maintaining the course material and keeping it up to date with product versions in use in the agreed standard PC desktop computing environment. Fujitsu will also incorporate improvements to courses, using agreed procedures.

On-Site Training

Fujitsu will set up training facilities on the Customer's site using facilities and standard PC desktop systems supplied by the Customer. Fujitsu will configure the standard PC desktop systems as necessary to deliver the training course. Fujitsu then carries out the training. If necessary, Fujitsu will arrange for the supply of PC desktop equipment required during the provision of the service.
