Installation

This product description defines a range of standard PC desktop and server system installation services which Fujitsu provides.


The facilities included in this range of installation services are:

New PC Desktop / Server System installation

Fujitsu will install the equipment listed in the accompanying schedule.

Fujitsu will check with the project manager the availability of the equipment, and the end user that the components delivered are the same as those specified on the delivery list. Components will be unpacked and checked, then installed and configured in line with the project plan. Where appropriate, Fujitsu may pre-configure those components either on or off-site.

Fujitsu will install the agreed hardware and software and check with the Customer, that the associated documents and licenses are available. Hardware and software configurations will be tested as agreed between the Customer and Fujitsu prior to the acceptance with the end-user that the equipment has been installed in accordance with the specified requirements.

PC hardware and software add-ons or upgrades on existing PC desktop systems.

This service entitles the Customer to upgrade existing PC hardware and software products. Fujitsu will install software and components and reconfigure the system when applicable.

Transfer of PC hardware and software to another location.

Fujitsu will coordinate the move of PC hardware and software products to a specified location and will install the equipment according to the Customer's specifications. This service comprises the disconnection of hardware equipment, transportation, reinstallation and reconfiguration of the existing hardware and software equipment on the network at the new Customer's facility.

Transfer of PC software from one PC desktop system to another.

This entitles the Customer to transfer all legacy software from one PC to another PC. Under certain circumstances, hardware components may also be transferred.

Removal and disposal of PC hardware or software.

Fujitsu will remove and dispose of redundant hardware and software equipment at the Customer's location. All data support will be securely erased or destroyed to prevent any attempt to access the data that the equipment contained.

This service applies to equipment listed in the schedule accompanying the service contract.
