Planning Module
Consulting
Fujitsu consultants will work alongside the Customer to help identify its unique asset control requirements. This includes auditing current procedures and making recommendations, designing a solution using the best of breed tools and systems, reviewing progress with the Customer, helping to fully exploit the asset services system and mining the Customer accumulated IT asset data (Total Cost of Ownership, IT Procurement, IT Disposal, User Training).
Change Control Process Definition
This service provides for the definition of processes to assist the Customer to control changes in the Asset Data Base. Fujitsu will examine the Customer's current practices, procedures and controls (if applicable) in terms of IT asset supply, maintenance and support. As appropriate, this may include linkage to the processes for IT asset procurement, Helpdesk operations, equipment disposal and cost event measurement. Fujitsu will establish what practices, procedures and controls (if any) are required to effectively manage the Customer's IT asset changes, and what data is required to support the proposed new procedures and controls. Finally, Fujitsu will document and present the new/revised process.
Implementation Deployment Module
Asset System Establishment
Fujitsu will design and implement a system to manage all the Customer's asset inventory. Under this service, Fujitsu will provide the system design, planning management and implementation of the system, design and documentation of the processes required to manage the system and data migration from any existing IT inventory database if applicable. The asset control system will be built around a relational database which will hold the full cost and movement information concerning the Customer's IT assets.
Software Inventory
Fujitsu Software Inventory service tracks and reports on all the software installed in the Customer's organization, reporting by end user and by application. Using specific applications, the service provides for software recognition, license data and version information.
Hardware Inventory
Under this service, Fujitsu will physically locate and attach tag labels to the Customer's IT assets and record agreed associated details with Customer (make, model, product number, etc).
Management Asset Module
Asset Register Management
This service provides for the on-going management to the Customer IT asset register. This service can be delivered on or off-site as is most appropriate to the Customer's circumstances.
Database Establishment
Under this service, Fujitsu will update the IT asset database to reflect asset acquisitions, upgrades and modifications, asset moves and disposals. Fujitsu can provide regular electronic audit of the Customer assets and provide database general housekeeping such as backup, archiving, and storage. As appropriate, Fujitsu will work with the Customer's procurement system, ensuring correct takes of new data and providing management information to assist with future procurement decisions. Fujitsu will provide information for the management of the Customer's warranties, lease and software license management services. This enables reliable capital value of the Customer IT asset portfolio for audit and insurance purposes, reduction in the cost of managing change and determination of true cost of ownership
