Warranty Information

Limited Local Warranty for Fujitsu Dot Matrix Printers

Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd (FAPL) offers a limited local warranty on consumer imaging products (excluding spare parts and consumables) distributed by FAPL or through FAPL's authorized distribution channels that are within FAPL's sales territories only. The original purchaser ("Purchaser") may be required to provide proof of purchase to demonstrate eligibility. For non-direct customers, Purchasers are advised to seek warranty coverage through the purchasing source.

Product found to be malfunctioning, defective, or nonconforming will be repaired or replaced with new or reconditioned product, at FAPL's option and expense.

This Limited Warranty extends to FAPL's direct customers only and is not assignable or transferable.

Warranty Periods of Fujitsu Dot Matrix Printers

FAPL represents and warrants to the Purchaser that a Fujitsu Imaging Product at the time of sale and continuing within the warranty period listed below ("Warranty Period") for the particular Fujitsu Imaging Product, will function properly under normal use, be free of defects in materials or workmanship, and conform to the Fujitsu Imaging Product specifications for that particular product. If the Product becomes defective during the Warranty Period, FAPL will at its options and as specified below, repair the Product with new or reconditioned components or parts.

Warranty coverage commences from the date the Purchaser purchased the Product. Please retain the sales or delivery invoice for clarification.

All Fujitsu Dot Matrix Printers shipped from FAPL are provided with a 1 year limited carry-in warranty. Warranty begins on the date of shipment by FAPL to its direct customers.

FAPL may in its sole discretion modify its Limited Warranty at any time and from time to time.

Warranty Exclusions

FAPL provides no warranty for products that exhibits physical damage or that falls under any of the following exclusions: product packaged; product damaged during installation or removal (such as broken connector, broken pins, broken seal); product damaged by system during integration; product damaged by modification or repair not authorized by FAPL; product that has been the subject of abuse, unreasonable use, or mistreatment; product damaged by environmental conditions (such as corrosion or staining); defects caused by the operation outside the usage parameters stated in the User's Manual; defects resulting from normal wear and tear; product that has been defaced (such as label alterations, serial number missing, serial number no longer discernible, serial number invalid); product with warranty labels removed or destroyed; product determined to be stolen or scrapped; or other exclusions as published from time to time online on this web site.

FAPL provides no warranty for products purchased through unauthorized or foreign distribution channels; purchasers of such products must seek warranty coverage, if any, through the purchasing source. FAPL provides no limited warranty for products that are purchased through OEM or otherwise as part of a third party manufacturer's product or system; purchasers of such products must seek warranty coverage, if any, through the purchasing source. FAPL may revise these exclusions from time to time.

Packaging and Shipping Guidelines

Purchaser must ship all warranty returns in careful compliance with these Packaging and Shipping Guidelines. Failure to do so will void the product's warranty. FAPL advises the purchaser to keep the original box and packing materials for storing or shipping. All products should be returned to FAPL in the original shipping container, or an authorized packaging box for the units being returned.

FAPL is not responsible for Product lost or damaged during shipment. All Products being returned for limited warranty repair or replacement must be sent freight prepaid. Shipments not properly identified will be refused.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

EXCEPT AS STATED ABOVE, FAPL MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS SOLD OR DISTRIBUTED BY FAPL. FAPL DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST DATA, LOST REVENUE, LOST PROFITS, OR REPLACEMENT PRODUCT COSTS ARISING OUT OF THE PURCHASE, USE, OR PERFORMANCE OF FAPL PRODUCTS, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF FAPL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THIS LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. AFTER THE PERIOD OF LIMITED WARRANTY, FAPL DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ARISING FROM A COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES THE PURCHASER SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND THE PURCHASER MAY HAVE OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. THE PRICE OF PRODUCTS DISTRIBUTED BY FAPL REFLECTS THIS ALLOCATION OF RISK.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall FAPL be liable for costs of procurement of substitute goods by anyone or for loss of data, nor will it be liable for direct, special, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising out of the purchase, use or performance of the Product, and whether or not it has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The foregoing allocation of risk is reflected in the price of the Product.

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT CREATE A RELATIONSHIP OF CONFIDENCE BETWEEN YOU THE PURCHASER AND FAPL OR ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS AND RESELLERS. ANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION SHOULD BE REMOVED PRIOR TO THE RETURN OF ANY PRODUCT TO FAPL. FAPL AND ITS AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS AND RESELLERS SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DISCLOSURE OF CONFIDENTIAL SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION STORED OR USE ON ANY MEDIA OR PART OF ANY PRODUCT RETURNED TO FAPL OR ITS SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR WARRANTY SERVICE OR OTHER REPAIR, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY SUCH DISCLOSURE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.
