A message "unknown device found" appears whenever powering up the PC.

When you use the OS (windows95/98 etc.) which supports the feature called "plug and play", the message "unknown device found" may appear. To prevent this phenomenon, open remove all of the check marks in the new hardware dialog box and click "OK" repeatedly until it is completed so that the scanner can be recognized by the OS.
