Get Carried Away with the Fujitsu LifeBook S6010

Ultra thin, ultra portable, the new LifeBook is designed for ultra mobility

Singapore, 4 June 2002 — Fujitsu announced today the launch of the new LifeBook S6010, a stylish “thin and light” notebook designed for ultra portability, specially for the corporate professional constantly on the move. The latest addition to the LifeBook S series, this new notebook offers superb utility and functionality, all within a sleek, A4-sized magnesium alloy casing.

Excellent Combination of Form and Function
A mere inch thin and weighing just 1.71kg (with Weight Saver), the LifeBook S6010's slim size slips conveniently into hand luggage and briefcases. Beneath its compact appearance lies a full-sized keyboard for more comfortable and accurate data entry. You can display intense, high definition quality colour graphics and spreadsheets on the large 13.3" XGA TFT screen using the integrated Intel® 3D graphics accelerator. The notebook also utilises Intel's Intelligent Memory Distribution system, which optimally handles all ongoing applications, and processing needs.

Fujitsu's unique port replicator (which comes bundled with the notebook) adds to the LifeBook S6010's versatility by allowing you to connect to the surrounding office support systems easily. The replicator's wealth of ports, which includes a VGA out, USB and LAN connectors offer organized cable management for maximum versatility and function. Simply detach your LifeBook and you are ready to go.

Modular mobile slot options
The notebook incorporates hot swappable mobile slots that enables users to choose between a CD-R/RW, DVD or CD-ROM drive, a second bay battery to capitalise on notebook performance or weight saver for maximum portability. For example, a second battery may come in handy while working in the office, while the Weight Saver makes travelling with the LifeBook S6010 almost effortless.

Hassle-Free Wireless Connectivity
With its network-ready capability, integrated modem and Ethernet ports, the LifeBook S6010 offers mobile professionals ready connectivity anywhere. In fact, the LifeBook S6010 comes with a built-in wireless antenna, and a customizable option allowing an upgrade to 802.11b wireless LAN capability when purchasing the notebook. An alternative LifeBook S6010 model with the integrated 802.11b Wi-Fi compliant wireless LAN module is also available.
