Fujitsu Asia Recognised as Top Service Provider by Chartered

Singapore, February 21, 2006 — Leading regional IT and communications solutions provider Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd today announced it has been awarded the Gold Service Supplier Award by Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing at its annual Supplier Day event.

The event honours the contributions and achievements of Chartered’s suppliers in three major categories – Equipment, Materials and Services. Fujitsu earned first place in the services category.

Explaining Fujitsu’s win, Mr Tang Yong “TY” Ang, vice president of fab support operations at Chartered, said, “Fujitsu impressed Chartered with its quality, innovation and service track record. We congratulate Fujitsu for the well-deserved win.”

The evaluation is based on an ongoing project which Fujitsu has undertaken for Chartered since 2003. In that project, Fujitsu supplied and installed PrimePower mission critical servers in three of Chartered’s fabrication facilities. These servers help automate various production processes such as product testing, reporting and yield management.
