Fujitsu Asia Unveils IPCOM S-series of High-Performance Network Servers - All-in-one devices offer full functionality required for reliable IP networks

Singapore, June 14, 2005 — Leading regional IT and communications solutions provider Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd today launched the IPCOM S-series of high-performance network servers.

Comprising the S1000 and S1200 models, the S-series of network servers incorporate router, firewall, IPSec/SSL-VPN, bandwidth control and load-balancing features that customers can activate based on operational needs, thereby functioning as multi-service security appliances.

By serving as a common platform on which multiple features are supported, the S-series is designed for speedy deployment to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO). The integrated design represents a more cost-effective method for enterprises to administer their Internet Protocol (IP) networks, compared to owning – and maintaining – separate appliances from different vendors.

The IPCOM S-series is offered as part of the Fujitsu’s TRIOLE strategy for optimising customers' IT infrastructures comprising servers, storage systems, networks and middleware. Based on TRIOLE, Fujitsu designs, develops and deploys highly reliable, business-critical data centres in heterogeneous environments to increase business continuity, agility and efficiency. Fujitsu will introduce TRIOLE templates that include the IPCOM S-series of devices, thus enabling customers to introduce the all-in-one solutions into their networks.
