Fujitsu VDI Bundles

VDI solution to go

With Fujitsu’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Bundles it is easy for your company to make the switch to a virtual desktop environment. Enterprises looking to revolutionize their IT do not always have the appropriate network infrastructure to enable immediate integration. The VDI Bundles eliminate this obstacle by offering you a complete desktop virtualization solution in one package. The bundles consist of a PRIMERGY server, as well as the necessary software and network equipment. These preconfigured and preinstalled infrastructures are perfect for companies looking to reinvigorate their IT resources without worrying about burdensome setup costs. The focus of the bundles is on the individual demands so the PRIMERGY servers can be configured for up to either 20 or 42 Zero Clients. Thanks to easy expansion Fujitsu leaves you with the freedom and flexibility your business requires.

VDI bundles for VMware®

Fujitsu’s VDI Bundles of the M series with embedded hypervisor VMware® ESXi 4.1 are the perfect choice for your VMware® based desktop virtualization. Fujitsu offers ideal configurations with one bundle recommended for up to 20 Zero Clients and another one for up to 42 Zero Clients. A PRIMERGY TX200 R6 server hosts the virtual machines.

Maximum savings

The Fujitsu Zero Client has no processor, no hard disk drive, no optical disk drive, no memory and no operating system. This reduction in hardware results in a more than 30% cost-saving compared to a traditional workplace consisting of PC and monitor. Rollout costs are also reduced, thanks to no need for local installation and easy “plug and play” deployment. Consuming far less power than a traditional workplace and lowering the volume of equipment per workplace, the Zero Client achieves more than 60% energy savings and more than an 80% carbon footprint reduction compared to a traditional workplace.

Advanced reliability

The Fujitsu Zero Client has no moving parts and no integrated storage or operating system, making the system extremely quiet and incredibly reliable. Mechanical failures become a thing of the past, reducing user downtime and eliminating servicing costs. Your users no longer have to worry about blue screens and crashes at their front-end.

Easy manageability

Thanks to the desktop virtualization infrastructure model, on which the Fujitsu Zero Client is based, all performance and user profiles are managed centrally at the server backend. This means that no more management is required for each workplace, saving time and costs for running a company infrastructure. As performance is entirely dependent on the servers, it is no longer necessary to plan upgrades for user front-ends and hardware refreshes become much more infrequent.

Work efficiency

The new Fujitsu LED backlight display incorporates the latest LED backlight technology for brilliant contrast. Variable height adjustment and an individual angle of view supports a healthy, ergonomic and comfortable working in front of a Zero Client. In addition multi-monitoring boosts the efficiency of workflows.

With an additional standard display plugged in via DVI, the desktop can be extended. This allows to handle more applications at the same time without swapping between each application window.
