Fujitsu digitaliserar industrimiljöer med ny IoT-lösning

Fujitsu breddar sitt IoT-erbjudande för industrisektorn med det nya ekosystemet INTELLIEDGE. Systemet optimerar industriella processer och kan säkert koppla samman data och resurser till människor och enheter. Lösningen skapar en helhetsbild av produktionsprocesser och möjliggör övervakning och hantering av individuella produktionslinjer till en snarlik kostnad som vid massproduktion. Lösningen sköts via en konsol som körs antingen lokalt eller i molnet och hanterar insamling, kontroll och aktivering av stora mängder sensordata från industrimiljöer hos exempelvis tillverknings-, olje- och gasindustrin.

-INTELLIEDGE överbryggar klyftan mellan operativ teknologi på produktionsgolvet med IT antingen lokalt eller i molnet. Det möjliggör en överskådlig och enkel hantering av digitaliserade produktionskedjor. INTELLIEDGE stärker Fujitsus portfölj för att ge ett ökat värde till våra tillverknings- och industrikunder och passar sömlöst med vår molnplattform, säger Andreas Rohnfelder, chef för Fujitsu Industry 4.0 Competence Center.

INTELLIEDGE hanterar dataflöden i ytterkanten av nätverket och molnet, ofta via anslutningar med låg bandbredd, för att leverera en överblick och förenklad hantering av hela industriprocesser och leverantörskedjor – inklusive ordersystem och produktionssekvenser. Det möjliggör helt digitaliserade produktionslinjer med automatiserade optimeringar för leverantörskedjan och driften av ”digitala tvillingar” – en översikt av alla processer som presenteras digitalt i realtid.

Fujitsu Launches Intelligent Edge Platform for Industry 4.0

Fujitsu today expands its Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) capabilities with the INTELLIEDGE ecosystem, which includes state-of-the-art network edge processing capabilities. The Fujitsu INTELLIEDGE Edge Computing Appliance enables the optimization of industrial processes for Industry 4.0, securely connecting data and resources to people and devices and bridging the gap between Operational Technology (OT) in the field, and on-premises and cloud-based information technology (IT).

Fujitsu is introducing the INTELLIEDGE appliance to manage OT devices, giving enterprises an unprecedented end-to-end view of the entire production processes to achieve a breakthrough in monitoring and managing optimized individual production lines at approximately the same cost as mass production. Controlled via a console that runs on-premises or in the cloud, the INTELLIEDGE Edge Computing Appliance manages the collection, control and actuation of vast amounts of data generated by sensors in OT environments such as manufacturing, power generation and the oil and gas industry.

INTELLIEDGE manages data flow between the network edge and the cloud, often via low-bandwidth connections, to deliver an overview and allow management of entire industrial processes, from supply chain inventory, to order systems and production sequences. This allows for fully digitalized production lines, with automated supply chain optimization, and the operation of ‘digital twins’ – an overview of all processes, represented digitally, in real-time.

Designed and manufactured by Fujitsu in Germany, the Fujitsu INTELLIEDGE Edge Computing Appliance is integrated with robust, fully configurable hardware designed for reliable, maintenance-free operation in remote locations and industrial environments. INTELLIEDGE ships with open source Linux CentOS and can run on other operating systems. With support for OPC-UA, INTELLIEDGE can rapidly organize network edge devices. The Fujitsu edge solution also helps to secure essential enterprise data, by addressing potential vulnerabilities and protecting against cyberattacks. Its certificate-based authentication and encryption ensure secure communications, providing a secure bridge all the way between network edge sensors and IT systems running either on-premises or in the cloud.

At Fujitsu Forum Munich, a live demonstration will show how INTELLIEDGE is able to optimize supply chains and control machine processes, to provide build-to-order robotized production.

Pricing and availability

The Fujitsu INTELLIEDGE Edge Computing Appliance will be available to order from January 2018 in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa. Pricing and specifications vary by configuration and country.
