Sweden Nice acquires RTT Solutions’ testing business

Software service company Nice-business Solutions Finland Oy (Nice) strengthens its testing offering by acquiring software and mobile terminal testing business from Oulu based RTT Solutions Oy. Ownership will transfer to Nice August 1st, 2008.

Nice is a joint venture of Fujitsu Finland and Nokia.

Along the deal, 23 persons will transfer to Nice as old employees. As a head of the team will continue RTT’s acting Managing Director Toni Mettovaara.

Nice’s strengths have been in server applications and -technologies. Nice has become over the past two years also a strong actor in embedded software and mobile systems. RTT is known best for its know-how in software testing and testing of mobile terminals.

”By combining our companies’ areas of expertise we are able to expand our service portfolio and to serve our customers more comprehensively”, says Nice’s Managing Director Jouko Seppä.

We have been able to respond to our customers’ high level quality- and efficiency challenges by being among the first in Finland to use agile software development in many of our project deliveries. In addition we follow ITIL-practises in our continuous service deliveries”, Seppä continues.

”As a part of Nice we can take our development projects further more efficiently and we can develop our project working. In addition we strengthen our position as the testing supplier of our main customer”, states Toni Mettovaara.

Through this acquisition Nice’s revenue for the on-going fiscal year is expected to exceed 65 M€ and the headcount will rise to 365.
