Fujitsu Services Oy in Finland will implement an extensive VoIP solution to the Rautakirja Group in the course of 2007.
The three-year agreement covers subscriptions for both the fixed and mobile phone network and all phone traffic. In addition, it incorporates the contact center service to Finnkino and Best Price Mobile service which finds the lowest price routes for international mobile calls.
”The life of our existing phone system is coming to an end, as it no longer meets our business requirements. With the new IP-based solution, we are seeking to improve our customer service in the form of better staff availability. We will also be mapping out the possibilities to integrate the phone system in our sales system as well as other background services, whereby the system would generate us further business benefits," says Senior Vice President Hellevi Kekäläinen of Rautakirja.
Among other things, Fujitsu's international capacity was a decisive factor in the successful agreement negotiations. In addition to Finland, Rautakirja has operations also in Holland, the Baltic countries, Russia, Romania and Germany. According to Hellevi Kekäläinen, the integration of Rautakirja's international operations to the phone system is an option which will be further explored once the first phase of the project has been implemented.
The VoIP solution complements Rautakirja's Patja service, which was launched last spring. The Patja service covers nearly 800 workstations.
